Copy Trading for Communities: Swiset Copy vs Signals, MQL5, Copiers and Broker Social Trading

    /The short answer

If you lead a trading community or work as an IB, there are five ways for members to replicate your trades: manual signals, MQL5 Signals, a trade copier, your broker's social trading or a copy trading platform for communities such as Swiset Copy. All of them copy trades; what changes is who controls the money, who owns the relationship with the member and how much IB volume you generate.

Telegram signals are free but arrive late and every member enters at a different price. MQL5 and broker social trading work, but there you are one more provider in someone else's storefront. Trade copiers are powerful for your own accounts but are not designed to run a community. PAMM and MAM are capital management products that depend on the broker and usually carry more regulatory weight.

Swiset Copy is built for one specific case: your community copies your master account in milliseconds, from their own broker accounts, under your brand and with no one holding their money.

/The 5 alternatives for copy trading for communities (and where Swiset Copy fits)

    1. Manual signals on Telegram, Discord or WhatsApp

You post the entry, stop and take profit; each member executes it by hand. It is the most common way to start because it costs nothing.

    • Works well for: small communities and educational content.
    • The problem: the signal arrives late, each member enters at a different price and sizes the lot badly. When they do not match your results, they blame you, cancel and stop trading, and your IB volume drops with them.

    2. MQL5 Signals (MetaTrader)

The signals service built into MT4/MT5. According to MetaTrader 5, a subscriber needs the platform installed with an active account, an MQL5.com account and a paid subscription, and then sets how much of the deposit is used for copying.

    • Works well for: individual traders who want to monetize a signal with a global audience.
    • The problem for a community: members go through a third-party marketplace, with sign-up and payment on MQL5. The brand, relationship and data are not yours, and you compete in the same storefront with thousands of signals.

    3. Trade copiers (local or cloud)

Software that copies trades from a master account to others: from EAs running on your PC or VPS to cloud copiers such as MetaCopier, which connects MT4/MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker and crypto exchanges without a VPS and charges per connected account.

    • Works well for: traders copying between their own accounts (for example, several prop firm accounts) or technical teams that want fine-grained risk settings.
    • The problem for a community: they are built as technical tools. Onboarding hundreds of members, seeing who copies and who paused, and tying that to your IB business is left to you.

    4. Broker social trading

Many brokers run their own copy trading app, where clients pick strategy providers from a ranking and copy them. Exness, for example, offers its Copy Trading by Exness app.

    • Works well for: broker clients who want to choose among many traders, and providers looking for new followers within that broker.
    • The problem for a community: it only works with that broker, the experience carries the broker's brand and your community ends up seeing other providers next to you.

    5. PAMM and MAM

Managed account models offered by the broker. According to B2Broker, in MAM the manager opens an individual order in each investor's account, while in PAMM capital is pooled virtually in the master and results are split by share.

    • Works well for: professional managers with a formal mandate and a broker that supports it.
    • The problem for a community: the manager trades third-party capital under limited power of attorney, which raises more compliance questions, and it depends on your broker offering the product.

    6. Copy trading platform for communities: Swiset Copy

Swiset Copy (swiset.com/copy) starts from a different assumption: the leader already has a community and needs members to copy their real trading. You connect your master account, share a link in your group and each member connects their own broker account.

How copy trading for communities works with Swiset Copy
    • Execution: each order is replicated in about 10 ms, scaled to each member's balance and risk settings.
    • Non-custodial: neither you nor Swiset holds members' money; they can stop copying whenever they want.
    • Your brand: your community's name, logo and colors.
    • IB volume: members who copy keep trading, which sustains the lots on your IB link.
    • Platforms: integrates with MT4, MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader.

It does not remove trading risk: it automates execution, but results depend on the strategy and the market.

    /Which one should you choose?

    • You have fewer than 50 members and teach more than you trade: manual signals are enough. When complaints about different prices start, it is time to automate.
    • You are an individual trader who wants to sell your signal to strangers: MQL5 Signals or your broker's social trading give you a storefront and audience.
    • You copy between your own accounts or prop firm accounts: a cloud trade copier is the right tool.
    • You are a professional manager with a formal mandate and your broker offers it: PAMM or MAM.
    • You lead a community or are an IB and your members already trade in their own accounts: Swiset Copy. You keep the brand and the relationship, members keep control of their money and your IB volume no longer depends on them reading the signal in time. A sign you have outgrown manual signals: you spend more time answering "what price did you get in at?" than analyzing the market.

Risk warning: trading leveraged instruments carries high risk and can result in the loss of part or all of your capital. Copying another trader does not remove that risk, and past results do not guarantee future results. Swiset is a technology provider: it does not act as a broker, adviser or manager and does not hold funds. Third-party names (MetaTrader, MQL5, MetaCopier, Exness, B2Broker) are used only to identify products and are trademarks of their owners.

    FAQs

What is the difference between copy trading and trading signals?

With signals, each person reads the message and executes by hand, late and at a different price. With copy trading, the master account's trade is automatically replicated in followers' accounts, scaled to their balance.

What is the difference between copy trading, PAMM and MAM?

In copy trading each follower keeps their own account and decides how much risk to take. In MAM the manager places orders in investors' accounts; in PAMM capital is pooled and results are split by share.

Do MQL5 Signals work for a trading community?

They work for copying, but your members go through the MQL5 marketplace, with its sign-up and payment. The brand and the relationship with the member do not stay in your community.

How is Swiset Copy different from a trade copier?

A trade copier is a tool to connect accounts. Swiset Copy is built to run a community: your own brand, link invitations, a panel showing who copies and who paused, and a focus on IB volume.

Does Swiset have access to my members' money?

No. Swiset is non-custodial technology: funds stay in each member's broker account and they can stop copying at any time.

    Does copy trading guarantee profits?

No. It automates execution, but results depend on the strategy, risk settings and the market. You can lose part or all of your capital.

    Is copy trading legal?

In most jurisdictions it is legal when done through a regulated broker. Each leader or IB must follow the rules that apply to them and their members.
